Excellence in Government Fellows Program

Stacey Krometis

The Excellence in Government Fellows program is the premier leadership development course for federal employees at the GS-14 to GS-15 levels. For more than 30 years, EIG has helped federal employees develop strong leadership skills through application-based learning, highly interactive activities, authentic self-reflection, personalized coaching and governmentwide networking. Graduation from the program requires 346 completed hours of training, which includes the mastery of the topics covered at each of its program’s six sessions and three webinars. Fellows in this program learn from experienced executive coaches and through a variety of methods including readings, classroom discussions, one-on-one coaching, 360 assessments, guest speakers, simulations and case studies. The Fellows also apply their learning through an action learning project, in which a team of 4-8 Fellows partner with a government agency and develop a project to address and solve a real, specific government challenge.
